Is it April? Or is it January? Brrrrr!

Holly eating McDonald French Fries - Yummy!

The Johnson Family hits the ice to go skating! Yes, even Erik has skates on! Wow!

Well, what a cold April this has turned out to be! Teasing us one day with nice weather, and then snowing the next day. Well with this terrible weather affecting my brain, I've neglected to post pictures on our web site, so here are just a few!

Things are pretty normal around the Johnson house. Last weekend was the last Sunday school of the year. Myles got to sing (with all the other kids) in front of the church. They did 2 songs, and it was so cute! To bad I forgot my camera. We also went to play at the Maple Grove play place to get some energy out. Even Holly crawled around and enjoyed herself. We then went to McDonalds for lunch. Mmm... tasty, but not healthy!

2 weekends ago we hung out with the neighbors and went ice skating one Saturday evening. That was tons of fun! After skating we went over to their house. The boys played together quite well while the grown ups hung out and chatted.

Well, that's about it for now. Have a great week!

Love, Andrea

Myles on his bed for the first time! So grown up!

Myles now is in a Twin Bed. He is so big I can't even believe it!

Holly has started to crawl. She has been close for so long now that we had been waiting for it. She crawled last night and yesterday she was officially 9 months old.

Hope everyone has a great weekend!

Myles eating his Chipotle - Yum!

I'm a little late at posting this, but last weekend was busy and fun! On Saturday we met Julia, Greg and their 3 boys at a Hotel Waterpark to go swimming! It was lots of fun. Both Holly and Myles put on their suits and splashed around in the water. Myles had fun swimming around with Nolan. I went down the water slides with Julia and Greg. They were fun! After swimming we went for a late lunch to Chipotle - That was soooo tastey! Just what we needed! Enjoy the pictures! I'll try to blog later with pictures from this weekend.

Easter came early at our house!

Happy Easter!

Well, what a day! The kids really seemed excited that the Bunny came in the night to leave baskets and eggs. Myles woke up early - around 5:40 am... right when the Bunny (aka: Mommy) was hopping around and placing the eggs in their special hiding spot. Luckily I told him that it wasn't 6:00 am yet so he went back to bed. After things were all set, I went in to get Myles, while Erik woke up to check things out. Holly slept, but Myles ran around collecting the eggs (both real and plastic) that were scattered around the house. Next came the baskets. Myles dug through his basket and was pleased with the contents that it was filled with. It was great that the Bunny used his basket from Daycare! Especially since the Bunny realized at 9:30 pm last night that Myles's basket from last year was still in his room up in his closet... :) Holly woke up a little later and dug into her basket as well. She seemed happy! We then hung out for most of the day to rest up. Myles didn't complain because he got to watch movies!

But the day was not all joyful. Erik was slowly on the mend (after being sick all night long - see previous posting), but still not well. Holly threw up this morning, so with both of those issues we decided not to attend Easter Sunday Church (Boo Hoo!). Holly never got to wear her Easter dress (Boo Hoo!). We also decided not to eat our Easter feast at Mom and Dad's house (Boo Hoo!). Big bummer, but we don't want to spread the bug to their house. Grandma made a guest appearance to our house to drop off some Easter gifts. That was really nice!

Now it's time for bed. I hope that everyone had a better weekend than we did (at least health wise). God Bless!

Happy Easter (a little early!)

Easter Baskets for Holly and Myles

Easter Eggs that Myles colored

Myles working on his Easter Eggs

Well, it is after 10:00 pm on Saturday evening and we are all prepared for the Easter Bunny to come in the night to hide the eggs and leave 2 baskets behind for the kids. Everyone is excited (okay, mostly Myles!)! The only downer about today is Erik got sick. Myles came home on Thursday throwing up. We had hoped to avoid spreading the germs, but this afternoon Erik was struck down with the illness. I will be sleeping out on the couch tonight to try and avoid the germs. After everyone went to bed, I disinfected the house and used an entire bottle of Purell on my hands. Cross your fingers that it doesn't come my way or get Holly sick. I even wonder if we will make it to Church in the morning. If we don't, it will be the first time in my life that I didn't go to Easter Sunday church. That would be weird.

I'll try to take some pictures tomorrow of the kids doing the Easter thing. Cross your fingers that it will be a family event, and that Erik gets better. I hope everyone has a blessed day!

Weekend update

We had a lovely weekend! The kids are all sleeping fairly well, so that is always a great start! On Saturday afternoon both Holly and Myles went over to spend the night at Grandma's and Grandpa's house. I went to get a massage (Yippee!) and then in the evening Erik and I went out to eat at Fogo do Chao. It was tastey, lots and lots of food - especially meat! They come around to your table relentlesly to offer you one of 15 different cuts of meat! Amazing! But by the end you feel like your stomach will explode because you are so full! We then picked up the kids at Lunch on Sunday, and had a wonderfuly afternoon and evening! Myles played outside, we played inside, and Erik shampooed the carpets. It is good to have them clean! Now the kids are sleeping, and soon we will be to! I love bed time! Hope you had a great weekend!

Sunday

Holly chewing on Myles's toy

Myles playing with his LiteBrite

Today was a good day - Myles went to Sunday School while I volunteered in the Nursery. We then ran to the grocery store and back home. Most of the day consisted of playing and watching cartoons. After naps, we went over to visit with Patrick in his new place - it was very nice! He has it all painted and is moved in. Myles has already assumed that the spare bedroom is for him and has started calling it "Myles's room". It was funny!

Hope you had a great day!

Holly in Purple

Holly is chillin this Saturday afternoon. She was looking cute, so I decided to snap a picture! The Johnson family doesn't have huge plans this weekend. We are hanging at home today, and will go to Church on Sunday morning, and then in the afternoon we will head over to Patrick's new place to check it out!
Hope everyone has a wonderful weekend, and stay warm! I hear it will warm up next week - Yeah!
Love, Andrea

Here is what the tables looked like - Can you tell Myles likes Spider Man?

We continued to celebrate Myles's 4th birthday with a party for his friends at McDonalds on Saturday. It was a ton of fun! And I really was happy that it wasn't at my house! Those kids were crazy and having fun running around the McDonalds play place. We had a Spider Man themed party, and the kids ate Happy Meals, Cake, and Ice Cream. Everyone was all hopped up on sugar. Then came the gifts. He opened them up with the help of his friends, and was thrilled with each one. We have played with them all since yesterday, and he thinks they are the greatest. Thanks to everyone who could attend the party! We were so glad you could come!

Weekend at Lutsen

Steven and Jason (Man of the Hour)

Jason and Myself

Me (Ready to Drop In)

I went up to Lutsen for a good friend of Mine's bachelor party. Jason Gabrielson is tying the knot and a bunch of us wanted to celebrate his impending doom with him. Just kidding all 4 of you readers out there. A big thanks to Andrea for letting me go and Another one to Tom Teynor for driving. Just a few pics for you guys. I have to tell you Lutsen is a great minnesota secret. It is easily the best snowboarding in the midwest and very reasonable. It reminds me somewhat of going out east. If you haven't been, you should go.
