Weekend fun!

Holly, Mommy, and Myles at the Como Zoo

Holly playing outside - it's a bit chilly today!

Myles in his new wagon! Mommy even put it together all by herself!

It was a very nice weekend! Saturday was all about hanging out! How lovely! On Sunday, I went rollerblading early in the morning (on some new Rollerblades - they rock!), and then we got ready to go to the Como Zoo! Myles was very excited. We ate lunch, and walked around to see all the animals. Myles's favorite exhibit was the Ants. Cool, I must admit, but it baffles the mind that something he can see at home is what he was most thrilled about. Probably the Giraffes were his 2nd favorite. We came home for nap time, and then did yard work and chatted with a bunch of neighbors. Good evening! Now I must do homework. Yuck. Not how I want to end the weekend, but I guess it is necessary. Have a great night!

A visitor from the Down Under!

Nick, Erik, Myles, and Holly hanging out in the back yard

Erik and Nick

Holly in her cute little brown/pink dress with leggings on mother's day

A good family friend of Erik's came to visit us for a while this past week. Nick (from Australia) was in the States for several weeks, and made MN one of his pit stops! He flew in on Saturday (day before mother's day) and hung out with us through Thursday morning. Erik and I were not able to take off work, but hopefully he had fun exploring Minneapolis and St. Paul during the week. On the last night (Wednesday) we had a little fire after dinner in the back yard. The neighbors came over and Myles, Mason, and Preston ran around the back yard while us adults chatted. It was nice!

I also included a cute picture of Holly in her little brown and pink dress with leggings. She looked so cute! She is crawling around and into everything! Myles still adores Holly and is always playing with her. It is really sweet. I'm so happy that they are buds.

This weekend is going to be a little low key. I think we are just hanging out as a family and will go outside to play a ton! The weather is lovely, and we need to check out all the local play grounds. Should be fun!
Love,
Andrea

Tour De Cure

I am riding in the Tour de Cure at the end of May. It is an opportunity to combine my love of Cycling with my focus in HealthCare. The ride is 45 miles through downtown minneapolis and St. Paul. It is not a long ride, but it is a good opportunity to raise money to find a cure for diabetes. If you would like to donate or are interested in doing the ride leave a comment and we can connect. The Tour de Cure also has a 6 and 25 mile ride, so you don't have to be Lance Armstrong to get involved. It looks to be a beautiful ride and all the money raised goes to fighting a disease that affects more people every day.

Thanks!

Myles climbing a tree

Today is Saturday - and we had lots of fun! In the morning the whole family went to the Golden Valley Animal Humane Society to participate in the walk for animals. We met up with some of my co-workers, and we all walked our dogs. It was fun, and the kids were very well behaved. We dined on Chipotle after the walk, and then went home to play. Myles climbed a tree, and I took a quick picture. After we played for a bit with the neighbors, and then went in to attempt a late afternoon nap. No luck. After dinner - more playing, and then bath time. Now it is 11:00 pm and time for us to call it a night! Hope you have a wonderful weekend!

Love, Andrea
