Visiting Kindergarten

Tuesday night was Kindergarten Open House, and Erik & I took Myles to school to meet his teacher and tour around the building. It was so exciting! We got in and the first thing we did was head over to Myles's classroom. It was very cute! We met the teacher and learned how to say her name. Next we did a little treasure hunt around the room to become familiar with the layout of the room. From there we checked out the library and did a little coloring. Once we were satisfied with that, we headed over to see the Adventures Plus room where Myles will be before and after class. It was a good space for the kids to play in. Our next stop was in the cafeteria. We put money into his account, and started to teach Myles his pin code and how to enter it into the key pad. He looked so grown up practicing it! By this point we had been there for about 30 minutes or so and Myles needed a little break. So we went outside to play on the playground with a million other kids. Myles got all the wiggles out of his system and we had 3 things left to do. We wanted to say hi to one of the teacher that we know, check out the office/nurses room, and then meet the Principal. Myles got really nervous about meeting the Principal - I guess the big kids at daycare have been telling him about going to the Principal's office if you are naughty. But he relaxed once he saw how nice the Principal was. It was cute.

I still can't believe that tomorrow is his last day at daycare, and that next week he starts school. When did he grow up? I blinked and I think I missed it.

Kindergarten - the school is actually on the chopping block, so we'll see if Holly gets to go here in 3 years or not....

Myles met the school mascot - The Panda!

In the Adventures Plus room, there was a big bin of blocks. Myles found them and started to build a little creation.
