The dentist
Holly had her first dentist experience! Thank goodness we go to a dental location that is close by, because we got dumped on with a November snow storm! My car slipped all over the roads for the 6 blocks that I had to drive. But we made it! Holly was really good - they were able to take x-rays, clean her teeth, & do a fluoride treatment. Good girl! Then the dentist came in and gave us a good little lecture about Holly sucking her thumb. It is starting to affect her teeth. Even we could see that. But it is super hard to get her to stop sucking her thumb because it happens when she is sleeping. Guess we'll have to get creative.

That's also my problem! I can't get my little son stop sucking his thumb because it happens in his sleep. All the pediatric dentists in Bartlett that we talked to said that it has to stop sooner or later or it will affect my son's teeth badly. For now, my husband and I let him sleep with us on our bed so that we can watch him closely. Well, so far so good. Thank God for those dentists who warned us!
